Together with the staff in the Services Division, Andreas Lüthi ensures that all the background procedures at Rega run smoothly. The Mission Administration department handles the invoicing of the mission costs to the relevant insurance companies, while the Maintenance department ensures that the aircraft are fully airworthy at all times. Accounting, human resources, logistics and information technology also belong to the tasks dealt with by the Services Division.

 

Curriculum vitae, Andreas Lüthi

Andreas Lüthi was born on 11 December 1960. Having completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker, he studied Mechanical Engineering at university. After graduating, he continued his studies and qualified as an IT engineer. Over the next years, he attended further vocational courses, including at the University of St. Gallen.

For ten years, Andreas Lüthi was co-proprietor of a company operating in the fields of Internet, marketing communication and information technology. His wealth of experience is backed up by many years of working in the sphere of mountain rescue. As Chairman of the Rescue Commission of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC, he was responsible for integrating the countrywide mountain rescue services into the Swiss Alpine Rescue Foundation, of which he is still member of the Board of Trustees.

In 2006, he joined Rega, where he was Head of Staff. In 2008, he was appointed CFO and member of the Management Board.

Andreas Lüthi is married.
